SwitchBot - Remote control devices

This app is such a disappointment! I tried using it, but it wouldn't pick up any of my devices through Bluetooth. It couldn't find the Wireless Smart Gateway or the MoesGo Smart Bluetooth Fingerbot. The only thing it managed to detect was the Switchbot Bot. However, if you can't set up the Wireless Smart Gateway, you're pretty much stuck controlling your devices from just a few feet away from your phone. Save yourself the trouble and money! I'll be posting a video about this on YouTube soon.

The notifications from the door sensor sometimes arrive, but infrequently and with a delay. Meanwhile, the notifications from the temperature and humidity sensor almost never come through. This is not dependable for what I need.

So, I have these blinds and a Hub 2. The connection with the Google Home app could be better. In the app, there's a slider that goes from 0 to 100 percent. Zero means the blinds are all the way down, and 100 means they're fully open or in the exact middle position. This makes it impossible to close them upwards using the Google app. Everything works fine in the Switchbot app, which is awesome. However, the Google buttons remain in the devices button on my notification bar, making it easier to access.

I really like the robots, but the boring batteries keep dying, and checking their levels on the app is a pain. You have to go into each settings menu separately, and there is no easy way to see all the battery levels together or get alerts when they are low.

So, there's this app that works well at reading and showing the name of my 2.4GHz router. But then it says it can't find any Wi-Fi access point with the name I input. Can you believe that? Customer support isn't helpful in fixing it. I guess it's time to send it back and get my money back. It's a shame, as the LED lights seemed like they could be pretty good otherwise.

I made a recent change to my curtain settings that now says I need to have location turned on for it to work. Before, it worked perfectly fine without needing location on. I don't understand why it's necessary to have location on just for Bluetooth, especially when I use many other Bluetooth devices without needing to have location on.

I suggest avoiding the Pan/Tilt Cam 2K. If you leave it running non-stop, it may crash within a few days and go offline. The only way to get it back online is by unplugging it from the wall. It tends to crash when moving in the dark with the infrared light on. It would be great if there was an option to reboot the camera from the app. Additionally, the infrared light doesn't turn off in privacy mode. Steer clear of these cameras as they might keep sending faulty ones without issuing refunds.

I bought a WiFi thermometer with a hub. It doesn't work when I'm not nearby. It seems the sensors only work with Bluetooth, not WiFi. I set up the hub with my WiFi but it's still disappointing. I will return it for sure.
