HOW TO USE TALKIE:

RANGE OF WI-FI SIGNAL:

The range of the Wi-Fi signal is dependent on the hotspot and connected devices, typically up to 50 meters (150 feet) indoors and up to 150 meters (450 feet) outdoors.

WHERE TO USE TALKIE:

• Communicate in previously unreachable locations like airplanes, trains, forests, mountains, stadiums, concert halls, and other public places with weak cellular signals.

• Ideal for communication within a Wi-Fi network at home, office, school, university, or dormitories.

(*) Enabling a hotspot while your device's Internet connection is active triggers Internet tethering (sharing).

    This app is great for chatting but needs to get better at adding more emojis, improving video and group chat features, and enhancing the quality of calls and video calls.

    Oh, nice find! This app can be great for listening to music while using it. It would be even better if they added a feature for group voice chat and individual microphone volume controls, especially for people who have their volume too loud. Right now, you can sort of use this for group voice chat, but you have to call at least two other users to set it up. This could come in handy for Sena, Cardo, or other intercom devices. You can use it over Wi-Fi without needing an internet connection, as long as you're on the same LAN network. It might be best to bring a pocket Wi-Fi device so that all your friends can connect to it or use your phone's hotspot feature.

    Sure! Don't send chat messages when you're out of WiFi or hotspot range. It can be misleading because it may seem like the message has been sent to others when it actually hasn't. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    This app is really awesome! Wouldn't it be better if it could utilize wifi direct? Unfortunately, it doesn't have that feature. It would definitely make things easier than having to wait for your peers to connect to your hotspot. It's great that it can use the internet for long distances, but I really hope that messages sent to offline peers can reach them once they log on, just like most chat apps. Also, it would be nice if the user interface was more colorful. This could easily become my favorite app.

    You keep seeing an error message saying "Tethering error: 1 (Config update error)" on your Note 9 when you attempt to use it as a hotspot for other phones to connect to.

    There is this plant that has amazing Wi-Fi signals. You can make crystal-clear calls using the Wi-Fi from this plant. It's just the best, fantastic for making calls over Wi-Fi.
