How much can I send?

The amount that you can send depends on the country and provider you send to. Please refer to the information below to learn about sending and receiving limits for each country.

Please note that Taptap Send has an internal limit, per transfer, of:

5,000 EUR 

German: 2,000 EUR

Netherlands: 4,000 EUR

5,000 GBP

2,500 USD (there's also a daily limit of 2,999 USD and a 14-day limit of 24,000 USD)

999 CAD (there's also a daily limit of 9,500 CAD and a 14-day limit of 30,000 CAD)

8,500 AED 

If you are sending a transfer to an e-wallet and use mobile money services, it depends on which provider you are sending money to and what type of wallet your recipient has

There is a maximum amount a recipient can hold in their mobile money wallet ("Maximum wallet balance") and a maximum transfer size which is determined by the mobile money provider (please ask your recipient or contact the provider for the most up-to-date information). You cannot send a transfer larger than the maximum transfer size. 

If you send a transfer that exceeds your recipient's wallet threshold, that transfer will not go through.

How does Taptap Send work?

Taptap Send allows you to send money from your debit card to mobile money in Africa and Asia.

To send money:

1.From your phone, download the Taptap Send app

2.Sign up and enter your information

3.Enter your recipient's name and mobile number

4.Send!

My transfer still hasn't arrived

We are sorry if your transfer hasn't arrived. We know how important it is for you that your transfer goes through. We always try our best to give our customers a speedy service but in the unfortunate event of a delay, know we are working on it and doing our maximum with our partners to solve the issue affecting your transfer.  

What can I check?

The status in the app always gives you the most up to date information. You can review the transfer details and also the visual map, we hope this will give you more clarity about where your transfer is at.

You will receive a push notification on your phone as soon as the transaction has been updated and processed.

Have you debited my funds?

Your funds are always safe.

We will only debit your funds if the transfer is delivered successfully to your recipient. For now, your funds have been authorised and blocked by your bank but we will release them, should your transfer fail eventually. 

Can you cancel my in-progress transfer?

Unfortunately, we cannot cancel any transfers in progress.

Services available: Mobile money, cash pick-up, and bank transfers. Initiate transfers using your debit card or account, depending on your location, to your recipient's wallet/account.
