How it works

Step 1: Choose a Tasker

Browse Options: Users can search for Taskers based on their specific needs. The platform allows filtering by price, skills, and reviews.

Compare Profiles: Each Tasker has a profile that includes their hourly rate, completed tasks, and user reviews. This information helps users make informed decisions about whom to hire.

Step 2: Schedule a Tasker

Flexible Scheduling: Once a Tasker is selected, users can schedule the task for as early as today or choose a later date that fits their schedule.

Confirm Details: Users provide details about the task, including location and specific requirements, ensuring the Tasker understands what is needed.

Step 3: Chat, Pay, Tip, and Review

In-App Communication: The platform includes a chat feature that allows users to communicate directly with their chosen Tasker. This facilitates any clarifications or adjustments needed before the task begins.

Secure Payment: Users can pay for services directly through the app, ensuring a safe transaction process. The app also allows users to tip their Taskers for excellent service.

Leave Feedback: After the task is completed, users can review the Tasker based on their experience. This feedback system helps maintain quality and accountability within the platform.

How Stripe Works:

The customer provides their card information in the Taskrabbit app.

Those card details enter Stripe’s payment gateway, which encrypts the data.

The charge passes through a credit card network, such as Visa or Mastercard, to the cardholder’s issuing bank.

The issuing bank approves or denies the transaction.

Once the cardholder’s issuing bank finalizes its approval, funds will transfer from Stripe into the Taskers bank account.

Taskers can receive payouts when transactions have finished processing (usually around 2 to 4 business days).

Stripe is a trusted payment processor used by many major companies all over the world.

How Do I Become a Tasker?

To become a Tasker, you'll need to follow these steps:

Download the Tasker App. Keep in mind - the Tasker app is different from the Taskrabbit app Clients use to book tasks.

Once you've done the above, open your newly downloaded Tasker app to:

Create an account through the app. If you already have an account, you can log in with it instead.

Set your skills, location, and verify your info. The app will walk you through this process.

Add at least one available slot.

Draw your Work Area Map.

Once you have completed the above steps, Taskrabbit will verify your profile. It should take a maximum of 2 working days before you receive the confirmation email "Action required: Taskrabbit identity verification"

Click on the green button in the above email:

You'll be sent to our partner site to verify your identity.

If you're on iOS, be sure to open the link with Safari.

If you're using a computer, please make sure it's equipped with a camera.

Take a photo of your ID and a selfie.

Once everything is good to go, you'll receive an email informing you of the last step.

Please note: Registration is in-app only and can’t be completed on the Taskrabbit website.

What's Required to Become a Tasker?

To be a Tasker in the US, you'll need to meet these requirements:

Have a U.S. Social Security Number. This is required for the background check. Taskers can update to an EIN after successfully completing registration with their Social Security Number.

Be at least 18 years old. All Taskers must meet this age requirement in order to perform tasks.

Be able to work in one of our active cities in the US. You can see a full list of cities here.

Provide us with personal information for a background and ID check. Your personal information is securely stored and maintained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Have a checking account with a financial institution. Savings accounts, prepaid debit cards, and reloadable bank cards won’t work, even if they accept direct deposits.

Have a valid credit card. When your registration is processed, we'll charge a one time, non-refundable $25 registration fee.

Have a smartphone. You'll be managing your tasks through our Tasker app, which is compatible with iOS or Android. You must have iOS 9.0 or later, or Android version 4.3 or later. We don't have a Windows application at this time.
