1.What is Digital Subscription?

A digital subscription to The Hindu will provide you access to premium features such as personalised article recommendations, quick briefings on the day's news, ability to bookmark articles for later reading, and more.

Please note: The Hindu's current digital subscription packages do not cover crosswords and e-paper.

2. Is e-paper a part of my Digital Subscription?

e-paper is only available with our All Access Pass. If you have subscribed to the All Access Pass you will have access to the Digital PDF version of the newspaper as well.

3. Do I need a different username and password for my e-paper account?

You will need a different password for your e-paper account. Your username is the email address shared by you during the registration process. The initial password will be emailed to you within 24-48 working hours of your subscription. If the e-paper plan activation takes longer than 48 working hours, the plan activated date will be considered as the start date. For example, if you subscribe to the pack today and you receive the e-paper activation email tomorrow, your e-paper subscription start date will be taken at tomorrow's date.

4.Can I cancel either the digital subscription or the e-paper subscription and avail a refund for one of the deactivated subscriptions?

No. You cannot cancel any one of these subscriptions at this time. If for some valid reason (as deemed by THG Publishing Pvt Ltd.), you wish to cancel your subscription, all the plans will be deactivated. Please send an email to customersupport@thehindu.co.in

    I'm changing my rating because the app is working better now. I switched my subscription from Apple to their website, and it has been running smoothly ever since. If anyone else is having trouble with the app crashing, give this a try. It would be great if they could make the app work in landscape mode as well. Other than that, the app is perfect for me now.

    Hello there! Great news - the app is fantastic and everything runs smoothly. Just this one thing: if I could, when I switch to another app for a bit and come back, it would be awesome if the article didn't refresh. I tend to look up new words from the article to grasp it better. It can get a bit tedious having to search again from where I left off every time. Any chance that could be looked into?

    I like your journalism, but this app can be better. Here are two things I suggest: First, please let us download the epaper as a pdf file from the app. Second, when we click on a news story in the app, it takes us to the web view. Unlike the browser version, which gives us two options (print and web), the web version has one column while the print version has multiple columns making it easier to read. So, please give us both options in the app too and allow us to choose our preferred view in the settings.

    I've been using The Hindu e-paper since September 2020. At first, it wasn't very user-friendly but they made some good changes last year, and now the interface is much better. It's really easy to use the app on my mobile phone and I find it very comfortable.

    It's frustrating when the app isn't functioning as it should. As you're reading a page, it suddenly takes you back to the home screen of the day's newspaper without any prompt. When you try to open the day's newspaper again, it just gets stuck and doesn't move forward. On top of that, there are instances where it keeps asking you to subscribe repeatedly. How many times do you need to subscribe? It's a real headache, especially in the early hours of the day. I hope the issues are resolved promptly.
