How to TIER

E-scooter

Step 1

Find an e-scooter near you on the map in the app.

Step 2

Scan the QR code to unlock your e-scooter and to start a ride.

Step 3

Push the e-scooter forward to flick the kickstand back, and you’re ready to go.

Step 4

To get moving, place one foot on the board and use the other foot to push off. Use the right acceleration lever to gain speed.

Step 5

Let go of the acceleration lever to decrease your speed or gently squeeze the left or right hand brake to slow down even more, and to come to a stop.

Step 6

Use the left and right indicators to signal your movements to other road users.

Step 7

When you’re done, park in a designated parking spot or find a safe place on the pavement away from pedestrians.

Step 8

Pull the e-scooter back onto its kickstand, Tap “end ride” in the app and you’re done.

E-bike

Step 1

Find an e-bike near you on the map in the app.

Step 2

Scan the QR code to unlock your e-bike, and to start a ride.

Step 3

(only applies to e-bikes with cable locks)

The cable lock unlocks automatically. Pull the lock out of the cable hole on the right side of the rear wheel and place it in the holder on top of the rear wheel.

Step 4

Flick the kickstand back before sitting on the e-bike

Step 5

Once you're ready to go, pedal with your feet. You’ll feel the boost kick in while you pedal.

Step 6

Stop pedaling or use the left and right brakes to slow down or stop.

Step 7

When you’re done, park in a designated parking spot or find a safe place on the pavement away from pedestrians.

Step 8

Flick the kickstand down and tap “end ride” in the app. If your e-bike has a coble lock, insert it back into the cable hole before you tap “end ride”.

How do I end a group ride?

To end the group ride, go to the feature drawer at the bottom of the app and click on Manage group button.

Then click on End for each individual e-scooter.

How do I start a group ride?

If the group ride feature is available in your city, select the option through the map view or the feature drawer at the bottom of the app.

Scan the QR codes of the e-scooters you wish to use one by one.

You can rent up to 5 e-scooters in total.

How to use the e-scooter helmet?

To unfold the helmet:

1. Pull the box lid towards yourself and take the helmet out.

2. Grab the helmet on both sides and unfold it.

3. Pull the rear part of the helmet backwards.

4. Pull the upper side firmly.

5. When you hear a click sound, you are good to go.

To fold the helmet:

1. Press the two grey buttons and pull the upper side forward.

2. Push the rear part of the helmet forward and fold the helmet.

3. Remember to keep the straps outside.

4. Return the helmet to the box: the blue light will tell you that the helmet has been returned correctly.

5. Push the lid until you hear the ‘click’ sound.

HOW TO START A TIER E-SCOOTER & GET GOING

✅ Download the TIER app, register, and add your payment info

✅ Locate a nearby TIER scooter on the map

✅ Scan the scooter's QR code to unlock it and commence your ride

✅ Push the e-scooter ahead to retract the kickstand

✅ Place one foot on the board and propel forward with the other

✅ Accelerate by pushing down the throttle

✅ Ease off the throttle or apply brakes to slow down.

✅ Explore your city and relish the ride!

HOW TO END YOUR RIDE

✅ Find a safe spot to park the scooter and lower the kickstand

✅ Open the TIER app and tap 'End Ride'
