TMNT: Mutant Madness Beginnerā€™s Guide: Tips, Cheats & Strategies to Save the World

1. Upgrade Your Heroes

As with any hero collecting game, one of your main priorities in TMNT: Mutant Madness is to keep upgrading your team so that you can keep moving forward. Without doing so, your characters will never be able to beat the increasingly powerful enemies that you will encounter in Adventure, the gameā€™s story mode, and the competitive teams in Dimension Clash, the gameā€™s player vs. player mode.

TMNT: Mutant Madness

The primary way of powering up your characters is by using Ooze, which is an in-game currency obtained from beating stages, completing quests, and opening chests. You may spend Ooze to level up your heroes, with more Ooze required as you increase a characterā€™s level.

Your chances of winning battles TMNT: Mutant Madness are higher when you have a complete team of five, which means that instead of focusing all your Ooze to make one overpowered hero, it would be better to upgrade your chosen team of five to similar levels.

The game generously gives players chances at acquiring new heroes, but even so, you should not hold back on spending Ooze to level up your current team. You might be thinking of keeping some Ooze in your inventory so that you can instantly bring a newly acquired hero to higher levels. However, it is a better choice to power up your team so you can keep moving through stages in Adventure, instead of waiting for an indefinite time to acquire a specific hero on who you will spend all the Ooze on.

TMNT: Mutant Madness

Another way to increase the power of your team is by equipping them with the best items in your inventory. If you see an exclamation point over the Equipment icon when looking at your heroes, that means that there is a possible equipment upgrade for that character. All you need to do is to tap on the Equip All button to outfit that hero with the best possible items that you have in your inventory.

2. Choosing Your Team

TMNT: Mutant Madness is not just all about upgrading heroes though, as you will also need to make a decision on which heroes to upgrade. While it is possible, albeit time-consuming, to level up all your characters, the best option is to focus on upgrading the five heroes that will make up your main team.

To help you decide on who should compose your team, you should learn about the roles given to each hero. Each hero has two roles, which may be viewed by tapping on their icon in the Heroes screen.

TMNT: Mutant Madness

While you have the liberty of mixing and matching heroes to form your most effective team, one of the best set-ups is to have a Tank and at least two Tricksters. This will allow the Tank to absorb damage and the Tricksters to disable enemies, giving your other heroes time to wipe out the opponents.

This set-up is also particularly effective against boss fights, especially teams that have three Tricksters, as once the weaker enemies are defeated, your team will be able to render the boss unable to make any actions while you whittle away at their life total.

The heroes in TMNT: Mutant Madness range from 1-star to 5-star heroes, with extra copies of characters contributing to increasing a heroā€™s stars. Heroes with higher stars should be chosen to join your team over those with lower stars, as they will have better stats even if they are at a lower level.

TMNT: Mutant Madness

Lastly, while you will spend most of your time in Adventure mode, you will eventually unlock Dimension Clash, which will let you battle against the teams of other TMNT: Mutant Madness players. Your team in this mode, however, may be different from your go-to team in Adventure mode. You might not need that many Tricksters, for example, as you may want to go with heroes that deal damage to multiple enemies at once, or heroes that deal significant burst damage to immediately take out the opponentā€™s Tank.

3. Activate Hero Drive Whenever Possible

For you to be able to properly choose the heroes that will make up your team, you should have several characters in your collection. The primary way of acquiring heroes in TMNT: Mutant Madness is through the Hero Drive, which you may access by tapping the Get More Heroes button in the Heroes screen.

TMNT: Mutant Madness

The Hero Drive uses up different kinds of Hero Bits, depending on the number of stars for your summoned hero. Hero Bits for 4-star heroes are harder to come by compared with Hero Bits for 2-star heroes, but there is no reason for you to delay summoning new units whenever you have the chance. Always check if there is an exclamation point on the Get More Heroes button, which means that you have enough Hero Bits to summon a new hero.

Getting duplicates of a hero that you already have isnā€™t a waste, as extra copies will increase a characterā€™s Dimension Level and will eventually increase their stars. This will improve their stats and give your team a better chance of winning battles.

I really like this game compared to other mobile games. I've been having a great time playing it. It does require some time and effort, but it's not too demanding. The in-game purchases seem reasonable. The only issue I faced was connection problems over the weekend, probably due to high traffic. The game has been running smoothly for the past two days without any disconnections.

I really liked this game and spent a bunch of money on it. However, there hasn't been much new content added except for a character once in a while. I want to suggest this game, but there's not enough fresh stuff to do. It's getting boring, and you only log in for the rewards and daily tasks. Please add more updates to keep things exciting. I used to adore this game.

For fans of TMNT, this game is alright. It sort of allows me to gather all the characters I missed out on as toys when I was younger. My only issue is wanting to be able to play as the Foot Soldiers, Rock Warriors, or other enemy types in the game. Apart from that, it's quite relaxed. Just need to focus on managing resources, upgrading characters and lair rooms, and you'll be good.

The game is like an idle game, you can choose to watch ads for more rewards if you want. It doesn't require much effort, just play for a few minutes each day and then maybe forget about it. The graphics are nice and there's a good story, but advancing in the game becomes really slow after a while. There are some major bugs that can ruin the experience, like the PurpleScreenOfDeath. It really needs a lot of attention and care to fix all these issues. It's sad because it has great potential. It's disappointing that the TMNT games on mobile haven't been successful in the past, and if they don't make improvements, it might continue to be like that.

I started playing this game when it was first released and went through the first three seasons, buying all three passes. But now, I don't play anymore. It feels like the game is just trying to get as much money from players as possible. At a certain point, you'll find yourself stuck watching ads or having to spend more money. And there will come a time when you have to pay just to complete a daily mission. It's really disappointing because the game had a lot of potential.
