TOCA BUILDERS

If you can envision it, you can construct it! Conjoin forces with six new builder pals on a remote island and shape an entirely new world with blocks. Leap, stroll, roll, and rotate the builders to leverage their unique abilities - they'll assist you in stacking, demolishing, painting, embellishing, and erecting your concepts. Unleash your imagination and kickstart the building process!

TOCA PET DOCTOR

Attend to 15 pets ranging in shapes and sizes! Whether it's a turtle stuck on its back or a dinosaur with a tummy ache, various furry, finned, and feathered friends await at the clinic. Employ different tools and resources to treat each pet's symptoms, ensuring to give them a treat post-treatment. Awaken them from their slumber to resume playing!

TOCA LAB: PLANTS

Prepare to cultivate, innovate, and interact with plants! Toca Lab: Plants allows your curiosity to guide you in evolving plants into fresh species. Experiment with the grow light, watering tank, nutrition station, cloning machine, or crossbreeding contraption to unlock all 35 plants and unveil their unique characteristics!

Support for Players

1. My game just reset. What should I do?

Unfortunately, sometimes things can go wrong with the game and it can crash or lose progress. We understand that this is a frustrating situation when your progress is lost. These crashes and resets are something we're constantly striving to investigate and fix, so protecting save files especially when updating to new versions of the game will be a high priority for us to solve.

There are generally two situations where a player can lose their progress:

Lost session

If the progress of your play session (your latest changes made in a house) is reset when you come back to the game, then it might be that you closed the app without exiting your location. We always recommend exiting the location by pressing the orange door button and returning to the map before closing the app, as this is when progress is saved. 

It could also be resetting the previous play session if there's an issue with the latest changes made in a location, and the game will as such revert back to a previous "safe" save state where this issue didn't exist. To help mitigate the issue, please try the following instructions:

If you are using a particular house with each play session then it could be a good idea to rebuild it. You can do this by clicking the blue build hammer in the Home Designer district, clicking the "x" underneath the house and then dragging it to the trash. We know how frustrating it is redecorating a house, but this should hopefully get back you up and running.

If your session keeps getting lost repeatedly even after attempting the above, then please contact us and send us a video of the design where this issue occurs.

Lost all progress

If that hasn't helped or all the progress in the app has reset, then unfortunately there's no way to bring it back and we're sorry for that, but we'll do our best to get you up and running again!

For many players the most disheartening aspect can be that they have lost the free gifts and custom characters that they created. The good news is that in most cases these can be restored by manually resetting the app. 

You can manually reset the app by tapping on the red reset button on the top right of the main menu. Keep in mind that doing this will reset the progress once more. However, it should allow you to recover some lost data.  This would be characters that you have created in the Character Creator, their clothing, as well as gifts claimed in the Post Office. 

2. I purchased an item but didn't receive it 

If you've made a purchase and it looks like it was successful but nothing is built or showing up, then try the following:

First, try rebooting the app, quite often that can help! (Remember also, Home Designer homes need to be manually built in the Home Designer district and with furniture-only packs all the furniture is found in the Home Designer menu)

If you downloaded the app from the Google Play store, then go to Settings on your device, go to the Apps section and find "Google Play Store" and “Toca Boca World” app, with each app find the option to "Clear Cache". Then restart the app and your purchases should show up.

(note that the interface may look different for you depending on your Android device)

With certain payment methods it can take some time for the purchase to be approved and content to show in the app. If you’ve not received the content after 24 hours and tried the steps above with clearing cache then read the bottom of the page for instructions on how to reach out to our support team and what information they would need. 

3. Restoring purchases and moving to a new device (Android)

If you have a new Android device and are trying to get back to playing Toca Boca World, then the previous purchases should restore automatically, provided you downloaded the app while logged in to the Google Play store app with the same account used to make purchases.

If you change your Google Play account or platform your in-app purchases will not be there as the apps/purchases are account specific rather than device specific and as such your purchases are tied to the Google Play store.

Any other apps purchased are also non-transferable between devices with different stores (e.g. App Store to Android etc). If you've got the same account with the same store, you should be able to get it again.

If the purchases are still not showing up on your device then try the following:

Double-check that you are logged in with the same Google Play account the purchases were made on. Try logging out and then back into your Google Play store app and then relaunch the app to see if that helps.

Make sure that your app is running the latest version. You can always check the app store listing to see if there's an update waiting for you.

Additional things to try on an Android device:

    Go to Settings on your Android device.

    Go to the Apps section and find the "Google Play Store" app.

    Open it and find the option to "Clear Cache".

    Restart the app and your locations should show up.

    Go to Settings on your Android device.

    Go to the Apps section and find Toca Boca World.

    Open it and find the option to "Clear Cache".
