TP-Link Tapo - Smart home control

Setting it up was pretty simple, but it can be annoying when it gets triggered by rain, moths, or spiders. Sometimes I wake up to more than 100 notifications because of the rain. I attempted to adjust the sensitivity, but it didn't work. Even when I set it to only detect people, it misses many of them. It seems to mistake cows for people. The price is fair though.

My internet connection is so unreliable. I always have to reset my router when it doesn't work. The router is right there, but still no connection. Only my device has this issue. Suddenly, both the Android and iOS apps can't find the recordings. It seems like the problem is with the hardware, not the apps. But without the hardware, the apps are useless. I'm really let down and won't get another TP-Link Tapo device. Support has been trying to help, but the hardware keeps messing up.

I use 2x C110 cameras as baby monitors. The multiview screen displays 4 camera tiles, but only 2 are used, so half of the screen is wasted. It would be better if we could adjust the 1 min cool down time for motion detection. The cameras lack an option to detect noise or crying through the mic, but I found a way to do it with a third-party app. It would be nice to have some simple additional features. Also, I wish it had a dark mode.

My car got hit while parked in my driveway, so I bought Tapo for surveillance. It's positioned outside my window, allowing me to adjust its direction easily and watch the recordings later. Having it acts as a good deterrent against trespassers. I've realized that video clips look better when downloaded using a different app than the TP link app.

The cameras are good. We use some with cables because they are far from the router, but the others work fine wirelessly. Setting up and using them is easy. Keep it up! 👍

The cameras are really good, but the app is totally useless. What's the use of having such great cameras if we can't even see anything through them? The app keeps stopping every few minutes, with messages saying there's no activity. Sometimes it runs for just an hour with no interruptions. It's all so random. We've made sure all the cameras and devices are connected to the same network too. This app is just terrible!
