This app is really helpful, but there are some areas that could be improved. One issue is that when the tracker is in wifi range, it won't show the exact location. This is concerning because I want to keep track of where my dog is going when I let her out. Also, the app doesn't provide real-time updates when the tracker is in wifi range, so it only checks every five minutes. This is not ideal since my dog could wander off to places she shouldn't be within that time. I hope the team at tractive takes note of this feedback and works on fixing these issues.

I am a creator of these devices for my job, and there are a bunch of rare problems. You will need to frequently close and re-open the app to make sure your data syncs. Despite that, I do enjoy using it. It's quite reasonably priced given its features. Here are a couple notes for the developers: Test it with two devices sharing the same data. Also, implement a hand gesture before altering the light status. By default, it shows as off even when it is on.

The map doesn't update often, and you can't manually refresh it to locate your pet. The last update was three hours ago! I did a little test by placing the device just a foot away, but it took a few minutes for the app to recognize that it was close. The app is a bit confusing to navigate, and the help resources aren't very helpful. Plus, there's no way to reach out to a customer support person directly. Update on my end - giving it 10.14 stars now.

It would be cool if there was a sound on your phone when you're close by, like a metal detector. The rings feature didn't go off since my cat was right in front of us.
