Seriously? $20 for just one year of use? That's outrageous! I could buy a real Roku remote for that price and it would last me the whole time I have the TV. Plus, when you consider that the app only offers the same features as the physical remote and doesn't provide any customizability or additional features, it just doesn't justify the cost. It's definitely not worth it. My advice: Avoid downloading it - it's a total waste of money!

Oh man, it's such a bummer that The Office Roku app controller doesn't work for controlling a Roku TV. I actually got the app connected to my TV pretty easily and it seems to be functioning fine. My only gripe is the ads – there are banner ads and full-screen ads popping up. Even though the Roku remote is simple, having constant banner ads feels a bit excessive to me. And those full-page ads can be quite irritating. They show up randomly without any discernible pattern, but hey, at least there's no waiting time – you just have to hit the X button to close them. Overall, despite the ads, the app does its job well.
