How to Stream to Twitch on Mobile

Now that you’ve installed the mobile app, you’ll need a Twitch account. Head to https://www.twitch.tv/ to get started and click ‘Sign Up’ in the top right corner. Come up with a memorable username, input your details, and verify your account. When finished, open the Streamlabs mobile app and login with Twitch on the main screen.

Twitch

Click ‘Stream Yourself’ or ‘Stream Your Games’ depending on whether or not you’d like to go live with your camera or broadcast your screen. Make sure to give the app the necessary permissions, and you’re all set.

If you want to make your stream shine, check out the themes tab where you can add professional mobile-only borders and alerts to your stream. Also inside the app you can customize your layout from the editor tab, and earn rewards the more you stream. None of that, however, is required in order to stream to Twitch.

When you’re happy with your stream setup, click the ‘GO LIVE’ button at the bottom of your screen. Select Twitch from the dropdown.

Twitch

Confirm your channel, give your stream a title and description, and you’re set! It really is that easy to go live to Twitch using the Streamlabs mobile app.

Happy streaming!

So, I've been having a not-so-great experience with this mobile app from a big platform. It keeps freezing and lagging when I'm using it on different cell networks like 4G LTE, 5Ge, 5G, and 5G+ in various places across multiple cities, even when I set the video quality to 480p. So, it's probably not an issue with my cell network. Plus, I find the app kind of confusing to navigate. I wish they would make it so that double-tapping is used to skip forward and backward when watching videos on demand, instead of bringing up different chat options. Maybe it could be okay if this feature was only for live streams. It's honestly getting on my nerves. Even YouTube doesn't have as many freezing or lagging problems, especially when I watch videos in higher quality there.

Oh, this app is really straightforward but offers a wide range of options! The interface is user-friendly and you can easily navigate through different games. It's all so smooth. Considering it's a free app, it works incredibly well for streaming and watching content. I'd love to see a feature where you can chat with viewers while streaming, like what I experienced in another app called Omlet Arcade. It was really fun engaging with the audience that way. Hopefully, they'll consider adding this feature in the future.

I just really dislike how, when none of the channels I follow are live on Twitch, it decides to play a random "recommended" channel that is live. It frustrates me because I prefer to browse without any streams playing automatically. I specifically disabled autoplay for this reason, but now this new "feature" seems to override that setting somehow. I don't appreciate suddenly hearing an unfamiliar person screaming in my earbuds, especially when I'm not even interested in the game they're playing. It's annoying that there's no option to pause or disable this new feature. Not a fan of this update at all.

I'm always on Twitch, whether on the website or using the app. So far, I've been pretty happy with the app – it wasn't perfect, had some issues here and there, but I could still watch streams while being on the move. But boy, oh boy, the recent updates have completely messed it up for mobile users. Now when you open it, instead of seeing your followed streamers, you're bombarded with their poor TikTok copycat feature. Switching between different chat styles is just a hassle, and overall, it's extremely glitchy now. I'd rate it 0 out of 10, and I really hope they revert it back to how it was before.

This app is usually pretty well-organized, but it does crash sometimes, not just for me but generally within 5 to 10 minutes or even less. However, it usually gets back up quickly and works fine again. One thing that bothers me about this app is how frustrating it can be to verify your email address. But what I really appreciate is that during a stream, I can easily pause, mute, create funny clips of my favorite moments, switch to theater or fullscreen mode, or even have a moderator view and adjust graphics settings with just a click of the mouse!

I really like how smooth and attractive the user interface is. The colors are so appealing to me. Also, the video player functions perfectly, and finding something to watch on the app is simple and convenient. The layout is just right - it's not too crowded, but there's still plenty of content on the screen. Overall, I'm having a great time using the app 😁. By the way, I appreciate that you can select the video quality you prefer when watching.

I totally get your frustration with all those ads popping up every time you want to check out a new streamer on the platform. It's like this same annoying ad keeps following you around, driving you crazy! I understand why you've given up on exploring new and smaller streamers because of this ad overload. It does feel like they're kind of pressuring you into getting Twitch Turbo just to escape the ads, which is a bummer since the platform used to be so enjoyable.

I've never had such a terrible time with any other social media app. It's just so glitchy. The chat randomly disconnects (the stream is fine though). Sometimes I can't click on the predictions, and they often don't even show up until I exit and come back to the stream. I'd say about 25% of the time, I run into bugs with Predictions. This has been going on for years; the app is really not up to par.
