U-Haul - Truck rental service

Couldn't create an account with the app - date entry was slow, phone number verification didn't work, wasted time entering info only to be told it couldn't update. Useless! A year later, still terrible. App probably hurting business.

App made moving the truck a breeze. Moving cross country is tough enough, so streamlining the truck rental process was a relief. Just a few clicks, select size, add payment details, and bam! Truck ready for pickup. U-Haul's reliable, staff is friendly, prices fair – great company overall. Recommend both app and U-Haul.

The app is really annoying. It takes forever to find your location when picking up a truck after hours. Just like others, when you follow the notification to take pictures in landscape mode, it refreshes and everything you did disappears without a way to get it back. So I couldn't finish the pick-up process properly.

Making reservations, picking up and dropping off should be simple, but the app on my Android is full of glitches. I use U-Haul quite often, but the app has let me down every single time. It's frustrating and stressful, especially when returning after hours and getting stuck in the same process due to glitches. Right now, I'm attempting to start a new reservation, but it just keeps taking me back to the home page. A fix is needed urgently!

The app is really good for booking Uhauls. I've used it many times for that. But the mobile check-in has never worked properly for me. The issue usually happens when I try to upload photos, like verifying my identity with a picture of my driver's license. Every time I've tried it, either the uploading takes forever or my valid ID doesn't get verified.

The app was a mess. We were supposed to get a call for confirmation, but it never came. When we tried to start the mobile process, the app kept crashing and asking for information that needed hours to confirm. Customer service was useless and didn't help at all, even when I called them twice. I wouldn't recommend relying on the mobile checkout process.

Every time I called U-Haul, the automated message would promote the app as a time-saver. They should just sync the order details automatically instead of making customers do it manually. I called twice and was told that the information should be in the app, but it wasn't there.

Book online, collect in-store. App lets you change reservations easily. Need an alternate contact when picking up. Can't use spouse's number already saved. Not available all the time, might disturb someone. Essential to have a smartphone with a good camera. UHAUL sends email/text for documenting previous damage.

Getting the U-Haul was like playing a real-life game of 'CLUE' in bad weather, with confusing directions and a sheriff nearby. Returning it was just as frustrating with a glitchy app and the sheriff still there. After 45 minutes, you just have to call it quits.

I had trouble getting the location in the app, even after changing permissions. So, I ended up using the iPhone to pick up my location. The active rentals page took a while to load, probably due to a server issue. I found the UI hard to navigate and slow to respond. Lastly, the barcode scanner didn't work properly.
