How to cancel an order
Will I still receive revenue for canceled orders?
For orders that you choose to cancel, you will not be able to receive the corresponding earnings. Payment will be received for all orders that have been prepared.
As long as an agent can confirm that you've prepared an order, you'll still receive payment for that order, even if the customer cancels the order or the delivery person doesn't pick it up, and you'll be able to check that amount in your weekly payment summary.
However, you won't receive revenue for incomplete orders if: * Customer service confirms that the order has not been prepared (e.g., the order is sold out, or there are too many items in the order) * Your restaurant was closed when the delivery person arrived (e.g., you closed early and forgot to turn off your tablet, or your hours were incorrect and needed to be adjusted)
How do I get paid for canceled orders?
If a customer cancels their order, an agent will call you to confirm that you've prepared your order.
If you have prepared a meal, then you will receive payment as usual.
If a customer cancels an order before you take it or prepare a meal, you won't receive payment.
What should I do if I forget to prepare an item in my order?
The next steps depend on the order status:
If you've missed an item in your order and the delivery person hasn't delivered it yet, follow these steps:
Contact the delivery person to coordinate the delivery of the food back to the restaurant. You can contact a delivery person by going to the Order History section of Uber Eats Orders Management and selecting the clock icon on the screen.
If your order has been delivered or the delivery person can't return to your restaurant:
Please contact Uber customer service via the link below. We'll reach out to customers to see if they still need missing items. If they no longer want to receive the missing item, we'll adjust the total sales price of the order and refund the customer the cost of the missing item.
Delivery Partner is delayed or unavailable
If you haven't assigned a delivery person
If the order is still waiting to be assigned a delivery person and within 30 minutes; You can still distribute and deliver to customers without canceling the order.
If you've assigned a delivery person
If the order has been assigned to a delivery person, but the delivery person hasn't picked up the order yet, please wait as the delivery person will arrive shortly.
If the order is canceled before a delivery person is assigned
If an order is cancelled before it is assigned to a delivery person, the customer can contact us directly and we will pay you for the order that is ready.
If you need to view/adjust the prep time
Sign in to Restaurant Manager.
Select "Prep Time" from the side menu.
Enter the default prep time, then tap Save.
If you need to pause an order
Navigate to the Restaurant Admin Panel.
Click on the menu icon (top left button).
Select "Pause new orders" and follow the prompts.
After the selected time frame ends, the order is automatically resumed. If you want to resume an order early, you can do so through the "Pause Orders" feature in the app.
How does Uber Eats work?
A customer opens the Uber Eats app, browses your menu, and places an order.
You use the tablet you received from Uber Eats to take the order.
Customers use the Uber Eats app to track the progress of their orders.
You arrange the delivery of your order as required:
Give it to the delivery person
Ready for customers to pick up
You can also use WebRD for tablets and web, either on your own computer or on your iPad/Android device. We recommend this while you're waiting for your tablet to be delivered by Uber Eats so that you can get online as quickly as possible.
