Dip your toes in and go back to where it all began as you team up as detective duo Old Dog and Ally against the Cryptic Killer. For the first time in the series, you'll encounter a labyrinth of puzzles and challenges laid by one of the most devious minds in the world. Solve puzzles, crack codes, and find a way out.

THE STORY SO FAR

Years ago, the twisted Cryptic Killer was put away behind bars at the infamous Anagram Asylum. But today, he's back, and he's taunting the detectives. Did they catch the wrong guy, or are they looking at a copycat killer?

A new lead arrives in the form of a mysterious locked box, delivered directly to their addresses. Detectives Ally and Old Dog are once again sent on a chase that'll challenge them unlike any case before. Explore new locations, crack codes, and unravel the mystery. In this prequel, you're invited to step into the detectives' shoes and return to where it all began.

THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE IS TO WORK TOGETHER

Two minds are better than one, and the only way you'll be able to crack the Cryptic Killer's codes is by working together. Through separate screens, you and your friend will each be given half of a puzzle at each location. Communicate, collaborate, and work together to push your puzzle-solving skills to the limit.

You cannot solve a case without taking notes. At any time in the game, you can whip out a notebook and pen to make notes and scribble on your environment.

Unsolved Case Tips

The game is very short, and it's free to download and play. Even so, you may be having some problems with some of the puzzles in the game, here is some help for you.

First thing to remember is that to complete the game you'll need to play through at least twice, one for each of the characters.

This will skip a lot of the puzzles just to get through the game quickly.

2 playthroughs are required, one for each character.

The achievement unlocks won't be visible right away, they will be visible when the game is closed or when alt tabbing to the Steam client to see if an achievement is unlocked (in this way some will appear unlocked as hidden).

Main Menu Achievement

If you interact with the walkie talkie 100 times you'll complete the Indecisive achievement.

Scene 1

Over, over! Achievement

Correctly tune the walkie-talkie

Here you need to align the waves to fix the walkie-talkie

To move onto the next scene enter the code 438 on the briefcase.

Scene 2

Iron Maiden

Find The Number of the Beast channel

The channel you need is 666. You can complete this achievement by playing as Old Dog, then use the remote controller to get to that channel.

Dropped the Ball

Lose 100 balls

This achievement is completed as Ally, you'll need to get the balls and throw at least 100 of them onto the floor

Forklift Certified

Complete the forklift maze

This part of the achievement is completed as Old Dog, you'll need to arrange the CCTV to monitor Ally's Forklift puzzle progress

Now, when playing as Ally, start the forklift by putting in the keys.

The aim is to reach K9, A2 and finally B4, in that order.

You should be able to get there with these instructions:

Trapped

You'll need to get trapped in the shipping container to complete this achievement, use the code 708 to get in.

Scene 3

Wrong aim

To complete this achievement, you'll need to point the laser towards the wrong goal. To do this you need to break the glass with the break by throwing it at it. Then aim the laser towards the broken glass and it should point the laser back to your own goal.

Next you should use both pieces of glass to direct the laser to hit your friend's goal and use their laser to hit yours.
