VietJet Air - Book flights in Vietnam

When you choose a child and enter the birth date as, say, July 20, 2021, the system shows it as invalid. This happens because the app considers the child as an infant due to the birth date. But actually, by the time you travel in December, the child will have grown up. Also, after selecting the seat, you can't proceed further.

The airline changed my flight without telling me. I've been trying to contact their support team through email, calls, and chat, but it's impossible to reach them. Be cautious when you want to make changes to your flight tickets.

My check-in was delayed for one and a half hours because the staff were inexperienced. They also charged me an extra $50 at check-in for no reason. I've heard many other travelers had similar experiences. I'm considering filing a lawsuit against them. I definitely won't be flying with them again.

Had a terrible experience with a budget airline. They refused to fix a mistake in my booking even though I called in advance. It's ridiculous that they can't do such a simple thing as changing one letter. I won't be flying with them again.

Viet Jet Air was quite irresponsible during my recent round trip from Thailand to Vietnam on 28/07/2023 and 02/08/2023. They delayed both flights by 90 minutes, falsely citing drizzling rain as the reason. Interestingly, other flights were operating on time under similar weather conditions. The pilot even misled us by blaming the weather when taking off in identical conditions. The cabin crew seemed lazy and lacked proper communication skills, especially in English. My advice would be to avoid booking with or boarding these cheap flights from Viet Jet Air, as they seem to have too many technical issues.

In 2023, I tried using the airline's app but I couldn't do anything. I couldn't sign up because my phone number is blocked for +84. When trying to book a flight, I couldn't proceed after selecting the flight. The airline is good but the apps and website are very bad.

This app just keeps crashing on my Android phone. And to top it off, I can't even receive the ticket email. The most ridiculous part is that even if you check in online, you still have to go to the counter to print your ticket.

It's not a low-cost airline, it's more like a rip-off. Their prices seem cheap at first but end up high once you book. You need to be super careful when booking because they automatically add extra charges. I got charged for insurance I didn't ask for and only had checked luggage for one flight of my return journey! When I went back, they charged me way too much for a small suitcase. I regret not choosing a normal airline...

Had a bad time with this app and airline. Customer service was terrible. Gave it zero stars. They show one price, but you end up paying more because of extra charges. It's better to go for a reliable airline like AirAsia instead.

It was really scary booking a flight with VietJet Airlines. We booked a round trip from Hyderabad to Bali two months ago. Our flights got cancelled just 10 days before the trip due to operational issues. There was no way to communicate with VietJet in India, they weren't responding to our emails. We ended up booking with another airline at almost double the price we paid two months earlier. Lesson learned: never ever book a flight with VietJet Airlines.
