Oh man, this app is just the worst. They really should have thrown it straight into the trash. The thermostat function only worked like one out of three times. And now, I can't even get the app to open at all. All I see is a black background with a white house. That's literally all there is. I don't get how this app managed to get four stars. Once you start scrolling through those reviews, it's all one and two stars. Truly awful.

Oh man, that app and the hardware from Vivant are just terrible. Each time the alarm goes off, the app crashes instantly, and the panel freezes, making it impossible to turn it off. The only way out is to unplug the panel and take out the battery. Vivant never calls when the alarm goes off, and those video notifications? They come hours after the event. And when you try to check any camera footage, you get a quick glimpse of the video, then it turns black, and you're stuck pressing the refresh button for minutes before it reloads. It's like the whole system just doesn't work at all.

The app is really bad. When you want to talk to an agent to solve problems, it just shuts down. The sensors don't work and I can't adjust the thermostat from the app. It keeps saying it couldn't update, asking me to try again. Whenever I try to contact customer support, the app crashes.

It's so convenient being able to lock my doors and set the alarm from my phone. The doorbell camera is really clear and has an impressive range. The outdoor cameras are just as amazing. I love that I can chat with people at the door without them knowing if I'm home or not. The package delivery alerts immediately let me know when something has arrived. I'm really happy we went with Vivian.

June 23, 2024. Time to search for a new service provider with a functional app and system. The camera image loading in the app still takes forever. The doorbell also waits too long at home and in the app after being pushed. Another issue is the missing recordings of events once they are done, mysteriously vanished. Sounds like same old story shared by many others.

I don't get why some reviews give this system such a low rating. I haven't had any major problems with it so far. Sometimes it freezes when I open a live camera feed, but all I have to do is close the app and reopen it to fix it right away. The notifications work fine. The person detection feature works well too. The app does what it's supposed to do and has some cool extra features compared to others. Plus, their customer service is quick to respond and helpful.

After the update, something seems different. When I receive a notification and try to open the app, only the home page shows up. No matter how many times I restart it, it just won't load other pages. I can't see any activities, videos, or control my lights or thermostat. What's the use of the app if none of the features are working? It needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

It's like, it's all good feeling until something bugs you. Like when you peep a bit of a notification, rush to check it out in the app and boom, nothing adds up with the notification. And it's super annoying when it happens right before some urgent alarm goes off. Today though, ever since that update rolled in yesterday, I'm getting notifications popping up left and right. But hey, when I try to open the app, it's just this eerie black screen staring back at me, no buttons or anything to interact with. So, yeah, the app is basically a no-go zone for now.
