Activation and Usage
Activating Voice Access:
Via Google Assistant: Say "Hey Google, Voice Access" if "Hey Google" detection is enabled.
Manually: Tap the Voice Access notification or the blue Voice Access button and start issuing vocal commands.
Pausing and Deactivating Voice Access:
To temporarily pause, say "stop listening."
To deactivate, go to Settings > Accessibility > Voice Access and toggle off the switch.
Getting Started
Step 1: Check your device and settings
Language: Ensure the device and Google Assistant are set to the same language as Voice Access. Available languages include English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, and Portuguese.
Android Version: Requires Android version 5.0 or later.
Google App: Ensure you have the latest version of the Google app.
'Hey Google' Detection: Recommended to enable 'Hey Google' detection from any screen.
Offline Speech Recognition: Recommended to download a language for offline speech recognition in the Google app settings.
Step 2: Download Voice Access
Download Voice Access from Google Play.
Step 3: Start using Voice Access
Enable Voice Access:
Open your device's Settings app.
Tap Accessibility, then tap Voice Access.
Tap Use Voice Access.
Start Voice Access:
If 'Hey Google' detection is on, say "Hey Google, Voice Access."
Open your notification shade and tap "Touch to start."
On your Home screen, tap the Voice Access app.
Tap the Voice Access activation button.
