Easily waking up computers from your phone/tablet!

*To operate this app, ensure that your computer and network support Wake On Lan/WOL.*

Switch on a computer remotely using the WoL protocol

The main function of this app is to allow us to wake up any computer whenever we need to without requiring to have it switched on all the time, helping us to save energy and giving its components a longer usage life.

WoL for Android is easy to use and to begin with, we only need to find the computers on our network. From there on, we can add them to the list of computers to be managed and easily apply any of the actions available from the control panel.

In other words, if you need to access a PC to work with it over a virtual desktop due to any reason such as accessing a server that you've previously configured, you'll be able to do so with this app.

Not only does this protocol work when our PC is suspended but also in hibernation or even with its power off. However, to be able to use this function we need to configure the computer's BIOS to allow it to be switched on remotely.

Automation

Automate waking up your computers by sending an intent broadcast from apps like Llama and Tasker!

The latest version now supports Tasker plugins, making it even simpler to automatically wake devices.

Instructions on how to do this can be found in the app's latest version under the help section.

Quick Feature List

* Groups

* Network Search (Find devices on your network and add them to your list without the need for MAC addresses)

* One-touch wakeup widget for both devices and groups (A widget with online status coming soon)

* Tasker plugin

* Intent Broadcast support (Refer to app help section for details)

* CSV Import/Export - Easily share your list of devices

* Material Design (Accepting suggestions)

* Auto-Refreshing Device Online Status (Using ports and ping)

* Supports Wake On Lan(WoL) and Wake On Wan(WoW)

* SecureOn

For WoW, set the broadcast address as the remote IP address of the device. Extra setup may be required on the remote network to ensure wakeup packets arrive.

Waking up a device connected via WiFi may not work; WOL is most effective over an ethernet connection. Some devices like laptops may not support WOL well or at all. It may only work in sleep mode for some, while others allow powering on when off.

    This app is great! I use it to wake up my samba and print server that's running on Ubuntu. Setting it up is super easy. Firstly, turn on the computer you want to wake up. Then, let the app search for it on the local area network. Once found, just click on the computer and save the auto configuration.

    The device worked great once I got it set up. When I pressed the ADD button in the app, it only connected within my home network. It didn't work outside my LAN. But when I put my PC's external IP address instead of 192.168.1.255, it worked over the internet. Since I only have 1 PC and the rest are Android devices, I didn't need the magic packet to be broadcast. One small suggestion: it would be nice if the app only showed "DEVICE WOKEN" when the device actually woke up.

    I love this app! It's so easy to get started with, the widget shortcuts are really handy, the interface is clean and organized, and best of all, there are no annoying ads.

    I found a bug in the app that makes it send a magical packet to all the PCs as soon as I open it, and it gets even worse when I use the widget on my home screen because it keeps waking up my computers without my doing anything. I think it sends some kind of status request to the IPs, which triggers the magical packet. I tested other apps and they don't have this problem, but I really like the widget from this app. I hope you can fix this issue.

    This tool is not helpful at all. It simply indicates which devices are working and which are not. When you tap on a device, it says "the device is woken", but in reality, the device is still turned off. It seems like it does send the magic packet to wake up the device, but it doesn't give an accurate response based on the actual situation. In my situation, it should have displayed a message like "can't wake up the device" when the red indicator shows that the device is still off. Instead, it incorrectly shows "device woken".

    This tool works really well. I just wish it could back up and sync its settings with Google. But hey, it does support waking up over the internet, as long as you set up your router and devices properly.
