How to Use Webull

How to Deposit

One neat feature of trading with Webull is that there are no minimum deposit requirements. This means you can start trading in small size and build up trading skills without burning through your cash pile. It also means that if you’re a risk-averse investor and like to double and triple-check when money is involved, you can send a small initial payment to check your new account is working as it should.

Whether you take this approach or go all-in, the procedure is the same. If you’re using the Webull app, then the deposit process starts by tapping on the middle of the five icons at the bottom of the screen. You are then given two options:

Make Your First Deposit – for those who are new to the platform.

Transfer – for those who have already set up their account or are looking to transfer from another broker.

Webull

Two more options then follow. These allow you to choose which type of payment process you want to run with.

ACH – Free for most users, but do check the small print.

Wire – For wire transfers and US and international customers. Typically associated with admin charges at both the sending and receiving bank.

The next screen asks you to confirm what type of account you are sending from, for example, Savings, Checking or IBO. One thing to note is that certain methods, notably savings accounts, require the name on your Webull account to identically match the name on the savings one.

The final stretch involves ticking boxes to introduce your Webull and bank account to each other. The first part of the set-up process is to choose between the ‘Real-Time Verification’ and ‘Micro-Deposit Verification’. The former is faster and involves you confirming details by logging in to your base bank account to confirm details.

The second takes one to two days to complete as Webull and your base bank account relay messages and tiny payments between each other to check all is in place as it should be. You’ll then be asked to select your bank from a list. If your bank is not already on the list, you can use the search function to link it up.

After some final account verification checks, choose how much money you want to deposit and confirm the payment. One promotion to look out for is the ‘Free Stock Offer’. The exact T&Cs change over time, but it’s not unusual for Webull to give new clients one or two free stocks when they sign up and deposit funds.

How to Withdraw

You might not be too surprised to learn that the process for returning funds to your bank account is very similar to the one used to make deposits. Once more, you can process the payment using the Webull desktop or app and on your account homepage, selecting ‘Transfers’.

To initiate an ACH withdrawal on the Webull app:

1. Go to the homepage of the mobile app and tap the same Webull logo in the bottom middle of your screen. The middle one of the five icons.

2. Click on the ‘Transfers’ tab at the top of the screen.

3. Click ‘Withdraw’.

4. Enter an amount less than or equal to the amount you have available to withdraw and confirm the instruction.

ACH withdrawals usually take 1–2 business days to complete.

This app has a lot more information than the others I use. The stock prices update instantly. I gave it 3 stars because of my own experiences. Deposits from connected banks take a long time. When I tried to transfer stocks from another account, it took more than a week and was eventually rejected without any explanation. I ended up losing a lot of money since I couldn't manage the stocks during the transfer. I am quite dissatisfied with the transfer process.

I don't like the new user interface. The font is bigger now, so there's less space. You need to touch and swipe in different places to see more info. Please reduce the font size because this is not good. I'm considering canceling my subscription. Very disappointed. I only switched to this app because Robinhood's UI is bad and I hoped Webull wouldn't do the same. Update: still not good, they put an ad in the middle of the homescreen.

I've used this app for a while to follow my investments and check out some news and charts. It used to be just for tracking, but then it became a place for trading too. Now, whenever I try to read the news, it pushes me to create an account which I don't want. I've been happy with this app for a long time, but now I'm searching for a different one and will delete Webull once I find it. It used to be fantastic.

This app seems pretty good. It has tutorials, news feeds, and message boards for users to learn about assets. The customer service is very responsive too! When I switched my account from RH to WB, I had a problem with missing money on the RH side. Webull support called me to assist. I was surprised by their quick response. So far, Webull and I are getting along well. It's been 2 months now, and I still enjoy using it. Plus, it has limit orders!

Charts and indicators look really good and are easy to use. This app is getting better all the time and doesn't crash like other apps I have used. Still hoping for more features in the future. I left once but came back because I missed how easy this app is to use, plus their press releases are really helpful for understanding the basics. Generally, this app seems very promising. Their education section is just as good as bigger platforms, which is a plus. Unfortunately, customer service is mostly handled by bots or through email and can be slow - it might take a day or two to get a response.

The interface is terrible. It's hard to find important account information. Everything seems hidden under ads or new unnecessary features. I can't control my funds and the software isn't user-friendly. Overall, it's a bad exchange. I wouldn't recommend it.

The latest update is terrible. They messed up everything and no way to undo the changes. Everything got moved, and there were so many bad changes which don't make any sense and don't help at all. Today's update takes the cake; they made it impossible to sort orders on the page, so you have to search for them. Also, they took away the options to cancel orders and change prices. It's unbelievable! Rating: F

Getting approved is way quicker compared to Robinhood. The app has some awesome features. The information I found rates it at 5 stars, although I personally give it 4 stars as they lack in-depth courses explaining every feature. But overall, I'm pretty satisfied with how things have been going.
