Recipes List

Classic French Toast

- Ingredients

6 cage-free eggs

3/4 cup milk

3/4 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

8 slices brioche or challah bread, or more, up to 10 thick slices

Maple syrup, optional

Blackberries, raspberries, blueberries or strawberries, for serving, optional

1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

- Method

Preheat oven to 200°F.

In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.

Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Working with 4 or 5 slices at a time, dip brioche in egg mixture, turning to coat thoroughly, then gently shake free of any excess.

Arrange brioche in skillet in a single layer and cook, flipping once, until deep golden brown and cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Transfer to a large baking sheet when done and keep warm in the oven.

Repeat with remaining butter, brioche and egg mixture.

Transfer French toast to plates, top with syrup and berries, and serve.

Creamy Gouda Fondue

- Ingredients

12 ounces young gouda cheese, shredded

4 ounces aged gouda cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

1 clove garlic, peeled and cut in half

1 cup dry white wine

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Pinch ground white pepper

Assorted dippers:

• Sliced Pink Lady and Honeycrisp apples

• Roasted Brussels sprouts

• Raw cauliflower pieces

• Roasted baby Yukon Gold potatoes

• Soft pretzel bites (found in the freezer section), toasted

• Cornichons

• Grapes

- Method

In a medium bowl, toss both goudas with the cornstarch and dry mustard until evenly coated. Set aside.

Rub the inside of a large saucepan with the cut side of the garlic clove. Over medium-high heat, bring wine, lemon juice and white pepper to a gentle boil. Reduce heat to low and stir in the gouda, one handful at a time.

Lower heat to medium-low and cook, stirring constantly in a figure-8 or zigzag motion, until cheese is melted and the mixture thickens slightly, 5 to 10 minutes.

Transfer to a fondue pot over a flame and serve with vegetables and pretzel bites for dipping.

Hey there! It's February 3 and I noticed that the app is still displaying specials that had actually ended yesterday on February 2. Amazon is an awesome Android app, one of the best out there! However, the WF app definitely needs some improvements. When you're in the active sales period, it's great for checking out all the deals, and I like that you can create a shopping list. But... there's a bit of a snag. When you're browsing through your shopping list, wouldn't it be great to simply tap on an item and get all the juicy details about it? It would also be really convenient if you could seamlessly transition from your list to finalizing your purchase or adding items to your cart for pickup. This feature definitely needs some attention. So, I think it's high time to rally the troops! Amazon systems analysts, listen up - let's jump on this and make those shopping experiences even smoother for your customers.

Stores like King Soopers, Wal-Mart, and Target have helpful apps that let you check product availability and location in the store. The King Soopers app goes beyond just showing where an item is and its price; it also indicates if a product is gluten free. However, this app seems to focus mainly on displaying items on sale. I couldn't find a search option to look for specific products. While you can create a shopping list on the app, it's not a feature I personally found useful. As a result, I uninstalled it.

I have had this app for some time and really like it. It used to work perfectly, it was simple to use, fast, and effective. However, during my last visit to the store, the app suddenly stopped working. I decided to uninstall and reinstall it, hoping that would solve the problem.

I mean, get this: I was at Whole Foods earlier today at 1:31 PM and saw these juicy steak tomatoes going for $1.99 per pound. Grabbed two, right, and thought they were like half a pound each. So imagine my joy, yeah? But then, when I checked the receipt, it said $3.38 and that the total weight was 1.13 pounds! Can you believe it? Like, the screens are so tiny you can't really see what they're scanning. So, I head to customer service, and what do they tell me? The scales aren't accurate or reliable. Mind-blowing, right? So we weighed them together and guess what? It was only 0.5 pounds! How embarrassing!

I'm glad you found the shopping list helpful! It seems that the app may not have a complete list of in-store products, which could be because it's hard to keep track of what's available at all times and locations. To deal with this limitation, I use the Prime Now app alongside this one. The Prime Now app lets me see what's in stock at my store with good accuracy, while this app shows me special deals for Prime members and other sales.

This app is not helpful. The interface is too basic, so I rated it 2 stars. There isn't much else to mention. It doesn't have a search feature, so I don't know how you're supposed to use it without one. It's not worth the effort. Prime Now is alright, but Amazon should do better.
