Introducing WiFi Analyzer

Description: WiFi Analyzer is a free, ad-free application that helps optimize your WiFi network. It allows users to analyze surrounding WiFi networks, measure signal strength, identify crowded channels, and more. The app prioritizes user privacy and security by requesting minimal permissions, operating without internet access to prevent data transmission, and being open-source for transparency. Notably, it is not intended for hacking WiFi passwords or phishing.

Features Include:

- Detect nearby Access Points

- Display signal strength graphs for channels and APs over time

- Rate WiFi networks based on channels

- Support for various WiFi bands and channel widths

- Estimate distance to Access Points

- Export AP details

- Theme options (Dark, Light, System)

- Various filters available

- Vendor/OUI Database Lookup

- And many more features

Additional Notes:

- Android 9 and above may have WiFi scan throttling, which can be toggled off in Developer Options for Android 10 devices

- Android 9.0+ requires location permission and services for WiFi scanning

So, there's this app that's been around for quite some time, but honestly, the interface is still pretty bad. When you try to use most of the options in the app, they just don't do anything or they end up sending you to the GitHub page for a tool it's supposed to be using. It's kind of frustrating, really. Not much info is provided about what each option does, and the only thing that seems to actually work is the channel graph - which is something you could easily find in your phone settings without needing this app. My recommendation? Just steer clear of this app and don't bother downloading it.

So, back in 2014, I was using this app that helped me find the best channels for my wifi router, making everything super fast and clear. Now, this new app is even better because it can show me the 5Ghz bands as well! And guess what? No one in my neighborhood is using 5Ghz, so I'm totally flipping the switch on my router now. Huge thanks to these awesome open source developers! I really wanna treat them to a coffee or something to show my gratitude. How can I chip in and support them financially? Can someone please tell me where and how to do that?

Oh, this app has been a real lifesaver for me when it comes to setting up and fixing wifi networks. It shows me where all the nearby access points are located and how strong their signals are. It's made my wifi setup so much easier. I'm really pleased with this app!

Oh man, this one is a winner compared to those annoying adware programs. It actually discovered a sneaky channel that none of the other junk did. This mysterious channel keeps suddenly blasting at the same loud level as my favorite one, which I had painstakingly set up far away from any interference. As a result, it's been messing with my internet connection and causing all these annoying slowdowns. I have a hunch it might be that new power meter we installed recently, you know, the one with internet connectivity? It's situated just a stone's throw away from my modem.

I have been using this app for a long time on various Android tablets and phones, and it's still fantastic for checking out all the WiFi networks nearby. It gives me a really detailed look at all the SSIDs being broadcasted. I especially like the channel graph feature which helps me spot if any access points are not set up correctly in terms of channels and bandwidth. And the best part is, there aren't any annoying ads popping up on the screen like in another app with a similar name.

So I was trying out this app on my G9+, and it started working immediately. I had previously downloaded a similar app that wanted permission to keep sharing my private data, which I wasn't comfortable with. I didn't even give them permission to start in the first place. But this new app is open source and free, and it only accesses my location when needed while the app is running. It's great to see developers creating apps like this. I always think it's important to support open source developers whenever we can. Thank you, developers!

This app is awesome! It's really easy to use and has lots of great options for setting up dual band wifi. It's a fantastic tool for optimizing your home network. I used it to find the perfect channels and bands for all my devices, and now everything runs almost twice as fast and has better coverage. I wouldn't have been able to make these improvements without this app.
