    In July 2023, I had to change my review of the app because of an update. It kept stalling and freezing which made it hard to use. I wasn't sure why it needed updating but it definitely made it worse. WikiCamps, please fix it or you might lose your loyal users. Fast forward to July 2024, it seems like the bugs have been fixed and the app is working well again. Thanks!

    Update in August made a big difference to speed. Earlier update was good, will check again later. Used to be fast and useful, now slow and annoying. Latest update messed it up.

    I wanted to share my thoughts about this camping app. It has really useful information for campers and allows you to leave reviews to help others. However, I have mixed feelings because the app is quite slow - it takes around 10 seconds to load and another 5-10 seconds to view each campsite's review. To make things worse, despite paying $10 for the app, there are still annoying pop-up ads that you can't block.

    Learned about the app a few years back but hesitated to switch to digital navigation since we often travel to remote areas without phone service. Regrets! The app is amazing, offering far more locations and campsites than any book or map. It works seamlessly offline, and I wish we had started using it earlier. It's definitely worth the small investment; you'll likely discover a free campsite that pays for the cost of the app.

    For 10 years, I've been using this app. It was awesome at first, but over time, it went downhill. Now, it's so slow that I can hardly use it. Even after removing and reinstalling, it's still sluggish. It takes forever to start up, even with no local data. The newest version doesn't recognize that I paid for it. Maybe it's a good thing - time to switch to something else. Plain Google Maps is way better now.

    There's this awesome app for travelers in Australia that's the best value. Other similar apps are way outdated, expensive, and not as detailed. This app called Wikicamps has current reviews without ads, no yearly fee, and doesn't charge extra for offline use. I've used it for a long time and truly believe it's the best out there!

    I've been using this app for many years on my phone and it works even better on an iPad. It's one of my main go-to apps for planning trips and deciding on my next destination. Just make sure to enable Satellite view on the map so you can see locations in detail. The user comments and photos are great for getting an overview and seeing real visuals of potential sites. It's a fantastic app and definitely worth every cent!

    I got this app recently and it already saved me the money I paid for it on my first trip. The filters are awesome for finding what you need. The reviews from other users are really helpful. My only issue is that syncing my trips between my phone and tablet is a bit slow.

    I really liked Wikicamps before, but after the June 2023 update, it started acting up. It's so slow and keeps freezing, and I just end up staring at that loading ring most of the time. And if you're using an Apple device, it's even worse because the update isn't available on iTunes yet. So, you can't use the app until you update it. I'm pretty disappointed with how Wikicamps is now.
