here are certain hard truths about adulthood that we all must come to accept, like the fact that we have to do our taxes every year for the rest of our lives even though that kind of seems like it should be the government’s job and hangovers will continue to get less bearable with age. Also, that making friends as an adult is hard—sorry, it just is. But! It doesn’t have to be, especially in this, the age of friendship apps.

What’s a friendship app, you ask? Fabulous question. You know how dating apps can help you find your next hookup, relationship, and/or life-altering situationship? Well, there are some really solid apps to make friends out there that can help you find and vet new besties too. Like dating apps, these friend-finding platforms can help take some of the awkwardness and anxiety out of trying to connect with cool people out in the wild, making it that much easier to find folks you click with who are looking for the same things you are.
