About Yandex Browser Lite

Yandex Browser Lite is a browser that has a simplified interface and basic set of functions. It was designed to help you save space on your device. The lite browser's installation file is 30 smaller than the regular version of the mobile Yandex Browser.

Yandex Browser Lite may be useful:

    For users of devices that don't offer a lot of memory

    As a backup browser for when you don't require advanced features

Where are my tabs?

In the lower-rightlower-left corner, tap the icon with the number of tabs ( if three tabs are open).

You'll see a list of all tabs open in Yandex Browser for MobileYandex Browser Lite.

Open a page in a new tab

    1. Tap and hold the page link.

    2. In the context menu, tap:

        Open in new tab to go to the link on a new tab.

        Open in background tab to open the link in a new tab but stay on the current tab.

To switch to a tab that's opened in the background, tap the icon with the number of tabs ( if three tabs are open) and select a tab.

You can create an unlimited number of tabs.

Switch between tabs

1. Tap the icon showing the number of tabs (for example,  if you have three tabs open).

2. Choose a tab from the list.

Close tabs

One tab

    1. Tap the icon showing the number of tabs (for example,  if you have three tabs open).

    2. Drag the tab to the left or right, or tap  to the right of the tab name.

Multiple tabs

    1. Tap the icon showing the number of tabs (for example,  if you have three tabs open).

    2. Tap .

Create a bookmark for an open page

With Yandex Browser Lite, you can create an unlimited number of bookmarks.

Go to bookmarks list

Tap  → .

A horizontal feed with bookmarks will appear at the top of the screen. To see more bookmarks, swipe the feed to the left.

Delete a bookmark

    1. Tap  → .

    2. Tap and hold a bookmark.

    3. Confirm deletion by tapping OK.

Running out of space on your smartphone?

- Easily clear cache and cookies in the Settings menu.

- Choose to store Yandex Browser Lite on either your device or memory card.
