Security of Your Information:

To create your Yoti digital ID, you can add details by scanning a government-approved identity document like passports, driving licenses, PASS cards, and national ID cards from over 200 countries.

The information you input into your Yoti is encrypted into an unreadable format that only you can decrypt. The private encryption key remains securely stored on your phone, ensuring only you can activate it using your PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID.

Privacy Protection:

Yoti does not disclose your details without your consent or misuse them; furthermore, we do not sell your data to third parties.

We recommend that businesses request only necessary information. As a user, you can feel secure sharing minimal data when providing details to a business via Yoti.

What is Yoti Age Estimation?

Yoti’s facial age estimation is a secure age-checking service. It instantly estimates your age using the digital map of your face we captured when you created your Yoti.

You can add your estimated age once you have created your Yoti app account. The app will then prompt you to have your age estimated.

You can find the Yoti Estimated Age attribute in the Personal Details section:

Before doing this, we will ask for your consent. Once Yoti’s facial age estimation has estimated your age, we’ll add it to your Yoti. 

If you add an ID document that includes your date of birth, you can replace your estimated age with your real age. You can then share this with a business or individual. To add your ID document, tap ‘Add ID document’ once you’ve tried Yoti’s facial age estimation.
