User Guide
How to buy a ticket on the UFS.Travel website
1. Choose a route and date
The system will promptly collect information for you about available trains, available seats and their cost. The website provides the same information as in the ticket offices at the station.
2. Find the right train for you
On the screen, you will see information about the train you are interested in, its departure and arrival times, types of carriages, seat costs, and the duration of the trip.
Don't forget that we will stop selling tickets 15 minutes before the train departs from the station of your choice.
3. Select a seat on the carriage map
4. Enter your personal details
You need to indicate the surname, first name, patronymic, gender of the passenger, date of birth, citizenship (country of issue of the document), name and number of the identity document, and contact details for communication in case of emergency. Here you will find complete information about the documents that can be used when issuing a railway ticket. If you have previously purchased tickets from us, then the system will prompt you to automatically select your saved data.
5. Choose a payment method
UFS.Travel offers you several options for how you can pay for the ordered tickets: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro bank cards, cards of the national payment system "Mir", ApplePay, QIWI, Webmoney, YooMoney, or use the option of installments or payment in installments. However, you can pay in cash for a maximum of three hours after confirming your order. In the event that the payment for the ticket was not made within the specified time, the order will be considered not completed and canceled by the system.
6. Confirm the order
Before paying, the system will show all the details of the order you have booked. Check the data and, after making sure that everything is entered correctly, pay for the ticket. Do not forget that according to the rules of Russian Railways, the buyer is given only 15 minutes to pay online, if your order has not been paid, then after this time your seats will become available for purchase by other passengers.
Immediately after payment, you will receive a control coupon by mail, which will mean that the place has been purchased. However, it is too early to rejoice at the upcoming trip.
Do not forget the most important thing: a paid ticket does not guarantee boarding the train - you should definitely check the availability of electronic registration. If it is not passed, you need to print the boarding pass on the form at a ticket office or self-service terminal in the territory of the Russian Federation.
What you need to board the train
After paying for an e-ticket, you will receive an e-ticket control coupon to the e-mail specified when placing the order. This is a file attached to the letter, which contains the number of the order (14-digits) and the e-ticket (14-digits). If there is only one ticket in the order, then the order number and the e-ticket number are the same. If the order is made for a larger number of passengers, the order number and the e-ticket number are the same for the first passenger in the order.
A control coupon is a document of strict accountability*, but is not a travel document. To board the train, you will need a boarding pass.
You can get a boarding pass:
- By registering electronically on the UFS website, you will receive a boarding pass by email. It must be printed out on paper (A4 format) or presented to the conductor on the screen of a mobile device when boarding the train.
- By printing the coupon on the form at a ticket office or self-service terminal on the territory of the Russian Federation. To do this, you need to know the order/e-ticket number or print out the control coupon.
The boarding pass received during electronic check-in must be printed on an A4 sheet for boarding trains No9/10 Moscow – Warsaw – Moscow, including direct carriages Moscow – Budapest – Moscow, Moscow – Sofia – Moscow, Moscow – Varna – Moscow, Moscow – Burgas – Moscow, Moscow – Bar – Moscow, as well as on the train departing from Vilnius. It is recommended to carry a control coupon with travel information on paper if you plan to travel on trains running between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Latvia, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Estonia, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition to the issued boarding pass of an electronic ticket, when boarding the train, you will need to present to the conductor an identity document, the number of which was indicated when buying the ticket. If you are traveling with children under the age of 14 on the territory of the Russian Federation, you can present a notarized copy of the child's birth certificate, and not the original.
Remember that the user issuing e-tickets acts on behalf of all passengers of the order, and all passengers are considered to be informed about the conditions of boarding and travel on the train.
* In accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated 21.08.2012 No. 322 "On the Establishment of Forms of Electronic Travel Documents (Tickets) on Railway Transport".
Obtaining a boarding pass on a travel document form
If you have not used the e-registration service, you can get a boarding pass on a travel document form only on the territory of the Russian Federation:
- at the ticket office equipped with the "Express" system terminal – here you can get boarding passes for the entire order as a whole or for individual electronic tickets of the order;
- at the self-service terminal - here boarding passes are issued only for the entire order as a whole.
Importantly! Tickets for high-speed suburban trains with the provision of seats can be obtained not at any ticket office, but only at the carrier's ticket office at the train departure and arrival station.
What do I need to get a ticket
To issue boarding passes on the form, you need to know the number of the identity document of one of the passengers, as well as the number of the electronic ticket or order (14 digits). At the ticket office, boarding passes can be issued to one of the passengers specified in the order, on the basis of an identity document, or to an authorized person on the basis of a handwritten power of attorney.
In order not to miss the train, we recommend arriving at the station to collect your boarding pass at least one hour before the departure of the train.
Important to remember!
- If the passenger's surname or identity document number does not match the data specified in the e-ticket, the passenger is not allowed to board the train.
- You will not be able to change your passengers' personal details when you receive your boarding passes. Be careful when filling out the form!
- From 3:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Moscow time, boarding passes are not issued due to a technical break.
- E-tickets are non-transferable and are valid only upon presentation of the passenger's relevant identity documents. Resale of e-tickets is not allowed.
If I forgot my order number
If you have forgotten or lost the control coupon with the order number, you can restore it and view all the information on the order in your Personal Account on the UFS website, if you are a registered user of the site. If you do not have a Personal Account, please contact the UFS support service by e-mail support@ufs-online.ru or by phone 8 (495) 269-83-65.
For international traffic
A travel document for travel on international routes (non-CIS countries) can be obtained only at international ticket offices on the territory of the Russian Federation. Only travel documents for trains between Russia and Finland are available at self-service terminals from international destinations.
