智方便 iAM Smart - Smart authentication application

"iAM Smart" is a free account available to all Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID Card) holders who are 11 years old or above. It enables users to conduct authentication using their personal mobile phones, allowing them to access and utilize the online services of various government departments and commercial organizations with a unified digital identity.

There are two versions of the "iAM Smart" account: "iAM Smart" and "iAM Smart+". The "iAM Smart" version includes authentication, form filling, and personalized notifications functions, while the "iAM Smart+" version additionally offers digital signing capabilities:

Authentication

- Users will have a single digital identity for convenient and secure access to different government and commercial online services without the need to manage multiple usernames and passwords.

Form Filling with e-ME

- Users can utilize the "e-ME" feature to store their personalized information (such as name, gender, HKID Card number, date of birth, address, and contact details), enabling auto form filling and eliminating the need to input the same data repeatedly.

Personalized Notification

- Users can opt to receive tailored notifications from various government online services to stay informed about service updates, expiry alerts, and other relevant information.

Digital Signing

- With "iAM Smart+", users can digitally sign documents in compliance with the Electronic Transactions Ordinance of Hong Kong, facilitating online processing of legal paperwork.

To register and begin using your "iAM Smart" account:

- Use a mobile device with biometric authentication features enabled (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) to download and install the "智方便 iAM Smart" app.

- You may explore a variety of daily information prior to registering for an "iAM Smart" account.

- Select "Register," follow the instructions to scan your HKID Card, allow the app to retrieve the card information, and verify its authenticity.

- Align your face with the on-screen photo frame, perform the required actions as directed by the system, and capture selfies for real person and facial verification.

- Await verification based on the HKID Card records following submission of your application.

- Utilize your mobile phone's biometric authentication, create a 6-digit password for "iAM Smart," and provide your email address once identity verification is successful.

- Access the various functionalities of the "iAM Smart" platform upon completing the aforementioned steps.

For registration or upgrading to "iAM Smart+" to access the digital signing feature, you can visit self-registration kiosks, registration service counters, or engage with mobile registration teams with your HKID Card and mobile device to finalize the necessary procedures.

- If you are between 11 and 17 years old, parental or guardian consent is required.
